SKIWI’s DAYTIME - Thursday Hikes
Meet at River Bends Park(22 & Shelby) –first lot on right is at trailhead We will be hiking the mountain bike trails. Bring insect repellent, sunscreen, hiking stick, water. Be prepared to hike at 1 PM, weather permitting!
(A few of us have been known to hikeanyway –with rain gear –up to you)

Both times meet at Clinton River Trail Pkg. Lot
(Adams Rd S. of M-59 – across the street from Walmart)
Planning to hike the crushed limestone trail to the city of Auburn Hills,
Riverside Park amphitheater and back. Approx. three miles
November, we will do Nov. 14 (Thursday)
and 29th (Friday of this Holiday week only)
Both times meet at Dodge Park near the basketball court.
We will hike paved or mountain bike trails- group decision.
MEET and be ready to begin hiking at 1 PM.
Cold weather will not stop us! Layer up!

ABOUT THE EVENT: Vertical Drop offers the only instore ski simulator in the United States. Olympic team coaches say this is the closest you can come to skiing without being on snow. You get the sensation that you’re actually skiing…and its fun!!
SKI SIMULATION DETAILS:
- Bring your own boots (if no boots the store does have some loaners)
- No ski poles necessary
- Light clothing recommended
- 15 minutes on the simulator is equivalent to 30 runs on the slopes
- First timers on the simulator may have the endurance to complete 8 -10 minutes
- Second attempts on the simulator may endure a longer ski

RELAX AND SOCIALIZE:
- BYO cocktails and appetizers to pass.
- Two tables for appetizers
- Minimal seating/lounging available – one couch and two chairs in the store

A touring theatre group is staging a flop called “Nothing’s On.”
